Divorce isn't such a tragedy. A tragedy's staying in an unhappy marriage, teaching your children the wrong things about love. Nobody ever died of divorce.

HEWLETT, N.Y. There was a violent armed robbery at a jewelry store on Long Island

Early Wednesday evening on April 20, 2011, three gunmen burst in, one of them making a beeline for an 8-year-old boy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nassau County Police say three men with guns went into the store at about 6:30 p.m.

They pistol whipped, punched and kicked the storeowner while one of the thugs put a gun to the head of the child. It all happened in front of two women who were in the store.

The robbers grabbed jewelry from a display case and took off. They got into a dark colored car, possibly a Nissan and headed northbound on Mill Road.

The store owner was cut in the head in the attack and was taken to the hospital.

The subjects are described as male blacks, 5'9" to 6'5" tall, thin build, and one wearing a red bandana across his face. No further description was released by the police

Early Wednesday evening on April 20, 2011, three gunmen burst in, one of them making a beeline for an 8-year-old boy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"He grabbed him on the back; they say if we move, they'll hurt the boy. It was happening so fast and he started crying and scared," the victim said.

"You're 8-years-old and you've got a subject standing next to you with a gun to your head. I'm sure it's got to be pretty upsetting," said a police officer.

Police say the suspects helped themselves of merchandise and pistol whipped Sasha's husband for his Rolex. He went to the hospital.

Now, police are analyzing video surveillance from stores throughout the shopping center.

They say one of the three suspects had stopped by hours earlier with a woman, pretending to look at engagement rings, but actually casing the place.

That woman was reportedly wearing a unique shirt investigators hope may jostle your memory.

"She was wearing a yellow t-shirt that had distinctive writing on the shirt, that writing was in pink letters, and the writing said 'Don't interrupt me while I'm ignoring you,'" the officer said.
